WESTHILL FITNESS CENTER
Welcome to the Westhill Fitness Center webpage! The Westhill Fitness Center is a state of the art workout facility that was funded by the Westhill District residents. The fitness center is located on the north side of Westhill High School. The center is approximately 2600 square feet in size and is stocked with the newest Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, and Power Lift equipment. Along with free weights and machine weights, the fitness center also contains a wide variety of cardiovascular equipment such as ellipticals, treadmills, recumbent stationary bikes, upright stationary bikes and a stair climber. The fitness center is utilized daily by our physical education classes, staff, district residents and interscholastic athletic teams.
ELIGIBILITY FOR USE:
All high school students and staff are eligible to use the facility according to its posted schedule. District residents are also eligibale to use the facilty during the adult evening and early morning hours. For your safety it is important to understand the proper use of the equipment. Therefore, the Westhill Central School District requires all district residents that would like to utilize the facility to complete an orientation session. To register for an orientation session or for more information regarding orientation sessions please contact Mrs. Bobbie Kreuzer at the high school main office (426-3100). Our concern with participants' health and safety while using this facility is of utmost importance. We stongly recommend you consult your physician BEFORE undertaking any type of exercise program. (Note: This is particularly important if the user has a family history of high blood pressure or heart disease, is over the age of 45, smokes, has high cholesterol, is obese, or has not exercised regularly in the past year.) Each individual using the facility must adhere to the attached policies and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE USAGE:
1. Must be a Westhill Central School District resident or Westhill Central School District employee.
2. Must be medically approved (see above)
3. Must complete the Fitness Center orientation program prior to beginning an exercise routine. Adults completing the program will be issued a Fitness Center pass good for the use of the center during the specified hours and dates noted on the pass.
4. A valid pass must be shown to the Fitness Center monitor upon sign-in.
5. Must sign the Westhill Central School District’s Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk form for use of the district’s Fitness Center.
