Parent Council meetings for 2010-2011 have been completed.

• 6/4 - 7th & 8th grade June Dance, 7-9 pm (Last dance of the year.)
• 6/9 - Moving Up Night (8th grade graduation), 7:00 pm in the Westhill High School Auditorium

• Grade 5 to the Genesee Museum - 6/17
• Grade 6 he the Thousand Islands - 6/22
• Grade 7 to camp Talooli - 6/22
• Grade 8 to Darien Lake - 6/22

• New officer named for 2010-2011...President: Jen Miller, Treasurer: Lia Burrows, Secretary: Jeanne Bailey, Wrapping paper sale Coordinator: Laurie French
• Voted to expend $420 for the purchase of two novel class sets to use in Spanish class.
• Voted to expend $1000 for a USB duplication system that will allow the computer integration specialist to transfer data similtaneously to, or from up to 15 thumb drives.
• Voted to advance a $375 deposit to Campfire USA/Camp Talooli for the 7th grade class trip.

• Voted to expend $3000 to help defray the cost of all student class trips by $5.00 each.
  
• Voted to expend $100 to purchase a thank you gift certificate for a parent who has volunteered to cover supplimental novels for the reading department for many years.
• Voted to donate $500 to the Westhill High School Parent Council in support of their initiatives.
• Voted to donate $100 each to the Junior and Senior classes for after the prom parties.
• Agreed to arrange a photographer to take an 8th grade class picture atn Moving Up Night to be framed and presented to OHMS as a class gift.
• Planned to attend the 4th to 5th grade Parent Orientation Meeting on May 20th to solicit interest in joining the OHMS Parent Council and serving on subcommittees.
• Agreed to invite OHMS Student Council Advisors to the next Parent Council meeting to discuss possible expenditure of monies they have saved in the Parent Council account and to discuss future sharing of dance receipts.
• Discussed the possibility of making a donation in support of the Rescue Mission given that the 8th grade class class volunteers there serving lunches as a service learning project. Mrs. Burrows will explore that.
