The primary goals for the Walberta Park Library Center are two fold: integration of our library curriculum with the kindergarten, first grade and second grade curriculum, and the integration of technology and library skills. Our library skills lessons have been developed to relate to what the students are studying in their classrooms, making these skills more meaningful and valued.

Students in kindergarten come for a weekly 35 minute instructional period. First graders and second graders have an hour of instructional time. During this time they will be learning about the library and will be receiving instruction in the use of our eMac computers.
