This newsletter was updated September 3,2010 !!! Welcome to Kindergarten! Oh my, it was great meeting so many of you at the Bus Visit day! I know we'll have such a great time learning together! I was happy to meet your Moms and Dads, too. They were so nice and excited about your new learning year at Walberta.
I went to school today to feed the frog and the fish. I figured they would be hungry over the Labor Day long weekend. I put some weekend feeder tablets in the tanks for them so they won't be so hungry. During the school year, maybe you can help me feed them. That's a fun job! Oh, try to wear sneakers to school. If we go out on the playground, you won't have to worry about getting mulch in your sandals. Bring a healthy snack to school each day. You can also bring a water bottle to refresh yourself.
Here are a few notes for parents--If we are going to celebrate your child's birthday in school, please contact me prior to his/her birthday. Your child will go up front at Monday Program on the Monday of their birthdate(unless there is no Monday Program). You can call me about the class celebration and the probably Monday Program that they will be called up front. If you do send in a birthday treat, remember.. they must be store bought--no home made treats. Please make sure the ingredient lists are on all food items! Please make sure your child's belongings are labeled with his/her name. Remember that you can prepay for snacks at the cafeteria-- your child can bring a check and not have to worry about that morning rush to get proper amounts together! Kindergarteners should learn their address and phone number for safety reasons--please help your child with their info! I'll send a schedule for specials so you and your child are prepared as soon as I get one!
