Welcome to the Westhill High School Webpage.  Westhill High School is a suburban school located in the Western suburbs of the City of Syracuse with approximately 650 students in grades 9-12.

We have a comprehensive academic program that is aimed at meeting the needs of each student.  Our academic curriculum boasts Regents level classes in addition to Advanced Placement, SUPA (Syracuse University Project Advance), Onondaga Community College credit bearing classes, Project Lead the Way Engineering Program and many other academic electives.

We are proud of our outstanding athletic program in which the basketball and baseball teams won state championships during the 2009-10 school year.  The football team won a regional championship and four other teams won league championships.  In addition, 7 of our Varsity Teams won NYS Academic Awards  for combined GPA's of over 90%.

Our award winning music and art departments have won numerous awards over the years.  Most recently, the band placed 2nd in a national competition in Tampa, Florida and our art students have won numerous awards at scholastic competitions.

One of our goals at Westhill High School is to increase the number of our graduates who earn a Regents Degree with Advanced Designation.  A Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation has more stringent requirements than a Regents Diploma.  Last year, 72% of our graduates earned an Advanced Designation Diploma.  For more information on the requirements for an Advanced Designation Diploma see the Guidance Department homepage under Graduation Requirements.

The faculty and administration at Westhill are dedicated to providing an environment where your student can succeed academically and socially.  One of the keys to success is communication between the school and home.  If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call your student’s teachers, guidance counselor or the administration.

Thank you to the parents, students, faculty and staff. You are all keys to our success at Westhill High School.

Sincerely,
