W.E.S.T.

W.E.S.T.
is the parent organization for Walberta Park and Cherry Road Schools. If
you have a child enrolled at either school you are a member of W.E.S.T. You do
not need to join or pay dues to participate.

W.E.S.T.'s mission is to:

1.  Make a difference in our children’s education through volunteering and fundraising
which will enhance and support their life-long learning.

2.  Provide opportunities for families to create lasting memories during the early school years.

3.  Create a sense of community among our members by encouraging participation, leadership and teamwork.

Some of our activities in support of our mission include:

*Fundraising:
a large portion of the funds we raise offsets costs of guest speakers and field
trips that enhance the curriculum.

*Hosting community-building events

*Creating the elementary school yearbook

*Publishing a student address/phone directory

*Staffing the Parent Volunteer Centers (PVCs) to
assist teachers by preparing class materials

*Hosting staff and bus driver appreciation events

Our meetings are virtual and scheduled at 6:30 p.m.
