Westhill High School Art Club and FBLA Visit New York City
Twenty Art Club members and twenty Future Business Leaders of America members were on the bus. The clubs worked together to make enough money to pay for the trip. FBLA sold sponsorship spots to local businesses on sport schedule posters created by Art Club. Art Club also sold t-shirts they designed and screen-printed.
The Art Club started off in Chelsea and visited the relocated Whitney Museum of American Art. They ate lunch at the Chelsea Market and popped into over a dozen galleries; Sheppard Fairy, Banksy, Peter Beard, Chuck Close and Damien Hirst.
FBLA toured Google’s New York office, took a guided walking tour of Wall Street and walked to the Brooklyn Bridge. The students received valuable information at both Google and the Wall Street area, as many of these students will be attending college for business.
