Mapping Skills

Thanks to the donation of New York State and Syracuse maps from the Camillus AAA, students in Mrs. Persons’ class got to learn some mapping skills with real maps. The students learned various skills and then applied them as they located specific features of New York State and things to do in Syracuse. What fun it was to see first hand where they live and go to school. This information helped the students as they created their own book about the many different communities they live in ranging from a neighborhood to the world. Pictured are Hadley Goode and Mya Talbot searching for landmarks on the Syracuse map.
