Hard to believe it's January already! Both grades have refreshed their skills in Microsoft Word as well as in navigating our online catalog to find books in our library. Fourth grade is continuing to use Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, a keyboarding program that we will start shortly in third grade.
In third grade we are going to revisit what we know about traditional tales in the library, and try our hand and storytelling with some short fables. Ask your child if he or she knows what makes a traditional tale special. In fourth grade we are continuing our studies on the different fiction genres -- ask your child if he or she remembers what the word "genre" means!
